AboutI am proud to be a Colorado native, having graduated from Cherry Creek High School, received a bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and earned my medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.I served my pediatric internship and residency in Phoenix, Arizona, and then in 1984 came to Colorado Springs to join a private practice. I received my Board certification in 1986 from the American Board of Pediatrics. In 1994 I was a founding member of the Penrose-St. Francis Medical Group, which then became Mountain View Medical Group. I became the group’s first Medical Director, and continued my office-based practice until 2002, when I became a full-time member of Mountain View’s pediatric hospitalist team, dedicating my time to hospitalized pediatric patients. I am excited to return to the outpatient pediatric world, and to open the only pediatric practice in Teller County. I love working with children, and participating in the healthy growth of the whole family.
My husband and I have been married for 28 years, and are recent empty-nesters, as both of our children are now young adults. My son is currently in Law School at CU in Boulder. My daughter is attending college, currently at George Mason University in Virginia, but returning to Colorado next year. I love all types of needle-work and quilting, am an avid reader, design and produce art-form greeting cards (which are sold at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center), and enjoy hiking in our glorious Colorado outdoors.
